With the help of family, friends, media, supporters, and the Filipino people’s movement, we are rebuilding Arkibong Bayan – a powerful archiving and documentation initiative started and led by Engr. Ramon “Monram” Ramirez since 1998 when it was still in a free Geocities site and eventually was transferred to a bigger private server and soon enough also joined social media sites such as Facebook.
Arkibong Bayan was not just a simple repository. Before there was intense use of social media around the world, Monram through Arkibong Bayan digitally shared the vibrant stories of valiant struggle of the Filipino people (and the world) for human rights, peace, justice, democracy, and freedom.
